  • Palmerston & Rural Party Hire (PRPH) provide free quotes
  • Prices listed or quoted are for the equipment only, additional charges apply for delivery, collection, set up, pack down and cleaning
  • Payment is required on or before delivery. Credit card facilities are not available, cheques are not accepted
  • Hire equipment can be picked up and dropped off by arrangement to PRPH premises, however, suitable ID will be required
  • A $50 cleaning and security bond is payable on all bookings and will be included in the total amount owing. This bond is refunded after the hire, if all items are returned as supplied. Cleaning and replacement costs for any items that are damaged, dirty or not returned will be taken out of the Bond and any amounts exceeding the bond amount will be charged to the Hirer
  • There is a minimum of seven (7) days notice required for cancellation of a booking. If cancelled in the seven (7) day period a fee of 20% of the total hire cost may apply and cancellation on the hire commencement date may incur a fee of 75% of the total hire cost (at PRPH discretion, regardless of whether hire has been paid for yet or not)
  • Additional charges may apply if the Hirer wishes to collect, return or have PRPH deliver or pick up equipment after hours or on a public holiday
  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • Normal hire is 24 hours only, unless otherwise arranged with PRPH. Late returns will be charged per day
  • Hire shall be charged and be payable from the commencement date, until such time as the hired equipment is returned and in the actual possession of PRPH
  • The Hirer agrees to pay all reasonable costs relating to the collection of or legal proceedings bought to recover any outstanding amount payable to PRPH


  • Equipment is supplied clean and in working order. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure it is returned in the same condition
  • Cleaning costs are applicable if items are returned dirty. Cleaning charged for glassware, crockery and cutlery is at 50c per item
  • A cleaning service is available on request and is charged at a rate of $70 per hour
  • Linen does not require cleaning before return, however DO NOT allow candle wax or food or drinks that are commonly known to stain fabric on the linen and ensure that linen is dry before packing otherwise irreparable damage will occur and replacement costs will be charged for any damaged linen
  • A $50 cleaning bond is required when hiring BBQs, spits or cool rooms. This is refundable if returned clean. Any cleaning costs are deducted from the bond
  • It has been explained that no water is to be put in the small bain marie and the risks involved in doing so
  • All packaging for glassware or other items must be kept in a clean and dry environment and items re-packed after use
  • Insurance of the equipment whilst on hire is the responsibility of the Hirer
  • Any unforeseen costs such as loss, damages, breakages or cleaning must be paid for on return of hired equipment to the possession of PRPH
  • If the equipment becomes unsafe the Hirer agrees to immediately discontinue use and notify PRPH as soon as possible. The Hirer will not attempt to repair the equipment without the consent of PRPH. If the failure of equipment is caused by reasonable wear and tear and for no other reason, including the Hirer’s negligence or misuse, PRPH agrees to, at its own discretion, either repair the equipment within reasonable time, make similar equipment available or adjust the hire charge


  • PRPH is responsible for loading and unloading equipment. If the Hirer or party thereof assists in the loading or unloading of equipment the Hirer agrees to indemnify PRPH for any property or equipment damage or personal injury in relation to this assistance, whether or not due to negligence
  • Hirer will transport and store equipment appropriately, according to weather conditions
  • Delivery and/or collection fees are applicable (price upon application)
  • All items are the responsibility of the Hirer during the entire hire period, and the Hirer shall ensure the safety and security of hired equipment
  • The Hirer will not sublease or loan the equipment and will not allow its relocation from the specified venue address without the permission of PRPH


  • Palmerston & Rural Party Hire will not be responsible for any damage or loss whatsoever caused to any person, property or animal arising from the hire, transport, use or handling in any way of the equipment being hired, even if such loss, damage or injury is as a result of negligence of Palmerston & Rural Party Hire, its employees or servants and the Hirer will indemnify and keep indemnified Palmerston & Rural Party Hire in respect of any claim for such loss, damage or injury whatsoever
